Emporia Kids Wrestling Club
Fan Behavior Guidelines
- I understand that you want to watch your child
wrestle. But being “mat side” is not the place for you. We, as coaches,
try to give instruction during the matches and it is difficult at times
with the parent yelling over the coach. Most times you can view the match
from the stands. If you need to be mat side, please let the coaches do
their job.
- DO NOT stand behind the opposing coaches or sit
beside them to video tape or take your pictures. If you are going to cheer
or video, you need to be on the
Emporia
coaching side.
- Siblings and Grandparents and other relatives need to
stay away from the edge of the mat as well.
- Please pay attention to your child’s bout numbers and
have them ready to wrestle, i.e. head gear on and warming up, at least 4
matches ahead of their bout. This will help with injury prevention and it
helps the tournaments to move along.
- DO NOT yell at the officials or make comments to
table workers during/after the matches. If there is an issue with scoring
or interpretation of the rules, it will be addressed by the coaches. If
you need an explanation, ask the coaches.
