· Rail

Service is provided by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad    Company. They offer through service from Chicago to California, and Chicago to Texas.

 

· Highway

Highway bus service is available. Highways serving the Emporia area are the Kansas Turnpike, Interstate 35, U.S. Highway 50, Kansas 99 and Kansas 57. Thirteen motor freight carriers serve the Emporia community.

 

· Air

The nearest public airport is the Emporia Municipal Airport, which is five miles south of Emporia. It has a 5,000 ft. runway, lighted landing strip, private aircraft storage and private aircraft maintenance. Commuter airline service is available from Topeka Forbes Field, which is 55 miles from Emporia, and the carrier is U.S. Airways. Kansas City International is 130 miles from Emporia served by Air Canada, America West, American Continental, Delta, Delta ConAir, Frontier Airlines, Midwest Express, Northwest, Redwing, Southwest, TWA, United and U.S. Air. Currently there are 280 daily flights.
